Beginning Shamanic Workshops

April 6 & 7, 2019
10 am to 5:30 pm both days.

How can we better embrace life with heart and spirit?  We each have a personal direct-line to spirit, but may need some help to reawaken it. Shamanism is still here, and it still works. If it's ready to reawaken within you, please join us.

This intensive and engaging 2-day workshop covers a wide range of key practices, including

  1. Bullet Meeting your spiritual guides and allies

  2. Bullet Journeys to the Upper, Lower and Middle Worlds

  3. Bullet Shamanic divination

  4. Bullet Trouble-shooting the questions that arise

  5. Bullet Creating ceremony and sacred space

  6. Bullet Working in connection with others: the first steps toward shamanic healing work

  7. Bullet Building good alliance with your spiritual guides and allies

  8. Bullet Ethics and protocols of shamanism, and its traditional uses in healing

  9. Bullet We work in a private, small-group setting, so every participant receives plenty of individualized attention

  10. Bullet Building alliances with our helping spirits brings guidance, connection and enhanced well-being

The emphasis is Core Shamanism but with a Craft influence: I've been blending these practices since 1988.  This is an experiential workshop, learning through direct experience, so please bring your good intentions and active curiosity as well as your note-taking materials.  No prior experience is necessary.

Private Denver-area location - This and most workshops take place in a private home on the east side of the Denver metro area. See June’s dates for an alternative location.

About Shamanic Workshops:

I teach in the Denver area and along the Colorado Front Range, but I’m willing travel to guest-teach elsewhere.

To find Shamanic Teachers in other parts of the USA and worldwide, please visit:

To find more general information on finding teachers of shamanic practices and the Craft, visit the Finding a Teacher page.

This class or its equivalent is a prerequisite for the advanced shamanic trainings.  Once you’ve taken the Beginning Shamanism weekend, and are becoming comfortable with the practice of journeying, I suggest taking the Shamanic Self-Care & Well-Being or Midwifing Death: Shamanic End-of-Life Practices as a follow-up workshop. Both are filled with specific journeys and exercises to help us take good spiritual care of ourselves.  This is an especially vital foundation if one has larger goals in terms of doing healing work in the world. Please read the Refund Policy
